Interview with William P. Bowers - May 16, 2022.
William P. Bowers of Dallas was interviewed about his life and career as one of the leading tax lawyers in the United States. Bill is of counsel of Norton Rose Fulbright in the Dallas office. His practice has been focused on partnership taxation for most of his career. Bill started his practice at Jenkens & Gilchrist in Dallas. In 2003, Bill moved to then Fulbright & Jaworski. He interrupted his career in 2006-2008 to serve at the U.S. Treasury as Senior Counsel in the office of Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy. After his government service, Bill returned to Fulbright. Also, Bill has taught partnership taxation at the University of Texas Law School for a couple of decades (with Patrick O'Daniel). In 2022, Bill was selected as the Outstanding Texas Tax Law by the Section of Taxation of the State Bar of Texas.
