Interview with Kevin Thomason - Feb. 4, 2021

Kevin Thomason of Dallas, Texas has been a leader of the tax bar for a quarter of a century. He has held the Chair of the Dallas Bar and State Bar of Texas Section of Taxation and the Real Estate Committee of the ABA Section of Taxation. The Texas Federal Tax Institute has achieved national prominence because of the leadership of a handful of tax lawyers, first in class of whom is Kevin Thomason, its current Chair. Kevin was at the vanguard of leading the tax bar's opposition to the patenting of tax strategies and Kevin's success in forging and leading that coalition enjoyed singular success. His broad-based tax practice has blended elements of business law, family-based tax planning, and especially distinguished by Kevin's national prominence in like-kind exchanges.
